What is the 360 View?
Clinicom suggests that adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 complete their own assessment when a third-party reporter (parent, guardian, etc.) is completing an assessment on their behalf. Often times the adolescent will report symptoms and events that have occurred that the parent or guardian may not be aware of. This gives you, the clinician, the opportunity to compare the results of both assessments.
When the third-party reporter is registering for the assessment, if the patient’s age is between 13 and 17, the reporter has the option of inviting the adolescent to also take an assessment during the registration process. The screen below shows you what the third-party reporter will see during the registration process.
If the parent or guardian skips this and later decides that they would like for the adolescent to take an assessment, it isn’t too late for them to do so. You will need to send a follow-up assessment to the parent or guardian as illustrated below.
Go to the Patient Summary section of this patient and add a follow-up. If any scales are preselected for this patient, you may remove them by clicking the red “minus” button beside the scale name.
On the left side of your screen, scroll down until you get to Full CLINICOM as the scale type you would like to send as the follow up. Select CLINICOM Assessment, as this will not ask the adolescent to complete the informational sections of the full CLINICOM Pro assessment.
From the Send Invite box, in the “Send to” field select Third Party. Then you can add a note to the parent or guardian asking them to forward the invite to the adolescent.
Click the Create Follow Up button and a new assessment will now be shown in the Patient Summary section.
The adolescent will select “relationship to patient” as “Self” when taking the assessment and you will be able to distinguish between the assessment taken by the parent or guardian and the one taken by the patient.
